THE CITY OF LOVE: AGRA

Agra: An ancient city, sitting in the Indo-Gangetic plains on the banks of the river Yamuna in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, was founded by Sultan Sikandar from Lodhi Dynasty. The city reflects the history of the bygone era where it served as the capital of the Delhi Sultanate and Mughal Empire. Under the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, Agra reached the zenith of architectural beauty.
