Spirit of the trip

Rajasthan - “The land of Kingdoms”, “The land of sun and sand”, “The land of bravery and valour”. It is a state whose cities are nicknamed after various colours, as Jaipur is “The Pink City”, Jodhpur is “The Blue City” and then there is “The city of lakes”- Udaipur.

“The Essence of Rajasthan” is a tour that gives a strong feeling that Mother Nature and the splendid history have done full justice to the arid landscape here. Rajasthan is a home to various tribes and communities. A land, where on one hook there are Forts, Palaces, Castles and Havelis and on the other are the mud houses, the Great Thar Desert. And that is the beauty of this province.

The villages in Rajasthan have a great history and boast of some of the best attractions. The scene here is very different, your eyes can easily catch a sight of women fetching water from the well, carrying large metal pots on their heads clad in bright coloured ghagra-choli , bangles up to their shoulders, odhni to veil their face, men wearing colourful turbans and white dhoti-kurtas looking for their herd, kids gawking on the street, traditional craftsmen involved in their intricacies.

Whereas, the other side of the coin is Grand, Royal, famed for its splendid heritage. Its Forts, Temples, Palaces, Towers are a unison of great architecture and valour.

This tour package illustrates all - the glory of Rajasthan, from its warm and welcoming people to its bustling cities and antiquated villages.

Come imbibe a journey to this land with Indian Experience!!

Highlights of the tour

  • Excursion to unexploited hidden villages of India.
  • Interact with the local community of Bishnois, Marwaris and tribes of Bhils.
  • Sample the local Rajasthani cuisine, to please the palate, if you dare!

With Indian Experience we “explored the unexplored!”. Never did me or my family on our family tour to India know that such serene villages we would visit in our trip to India. The rural side of Rajasthan is a kaleidoscope of different cultures, tastes and attires. The simplicity of people and the beauty and bounty of nature kept us marevlling at it.
Definitely It makes a huge difference being lead by someone with deep roots in the area and the professionalism and skill that can only come from experience. I can’t thank Indian Experience enough for this memorable trip.

Travel in the country

Accommodation - The havelis are noble residences, sometimes small palaces, some even being fortified. Formerly or still currently occupied by princely families or by grand masters (often merchants), many of them have been renovated and authorized to receive travellers. All different in style, they are invariably steeped in history and charm, charm reinforced by the welcome and hospitality of the descendants of masters when they are present.
