Delhi - Mandawa

A cordial welcome at the Delhi International Airport. A representative of Indian Experience will help you to ride to your privately chauffeured coach to travel deep into the state of Rajasthan - a land of vibrant culture and festival celebrations. Your first destination in the state would be Mandawa, known for lavishly fresco painted mansions.
Your abode for tonight would be a magnificent and palatial Mandawa haveli, decked up with enchanting paintings and artefacts of the bygone era.

Mandawa

The town of Mandawa, sitting in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, is abundant with Haveli's, mansions that were built in the 18th century. The town was a part of “The Silk Route”, and houses were of rich and affluent merchants. The town is called “Open Art Gallery”, Witness the truly unique works of art that adorn the walls of the Haveli's - the fresco art which was used to be a unique art of painting, where the walls were served as a canvas. The prominent ones are Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli, Murmuria Haveli, Jhunjhunwala Haveli and Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli.

Mandawa - Bikaner

In the morning, drive to Bikaner, also called  ‘ The Camel Country’ of India. Learn more about the Rajputic regal era and glorious past in the city. Visit the Junagarh Fort complex of Bikaner, known for its perfect blend of Mughal & Rajput architecture. Junagarh Fort is one of the most decorated forts in India and is not built on a high hill. The fort houses opulent palaces that give you a glimpse into the lives and times of the maharajas of Bikaner.

Bikaner - Jodhpur - Chandelao

Today Morning after breakfast check out and drive to Chandelao en route Jodhpur - The Desert enchantment. Jodhpur city which is the second largest city of Rajasthan also called “ The Blue City” due to the uniformly painted houses in the hues of blue colour. The entire city is built around the imposing structure of the Mehrangarh Fort -  the 15th century UNESCO Heritage site.
Continue journey for the Kingdom Of Marwar- Chandelao. Your home tonight would be -The Majestic Chandelao Garh - the ancestral home of the landowners of the area, built with Jodhpur sandstone. Experience traditional Rajasthani Hospitality in the resort.
Catch the cultural vibe while going for a lazy stroll around the village to hang out with native people. Catch the sight of varied varieties of common crane, sarus crane, peafowl, herons.

Chandelao - Jojawar

Chandelao is home to varied species of migratory birds, Enjoy your morning tea with the chirpings of myriads of birds in the compound, it is time when birds are singing louder and prouder than at any other time of day. 
After breakfast, pick up the journey to Jojawar, through the truly rustic and off-beat locations of the rural side of Rajasthan.Check-in into the heritage boutique hotel of the Pali district, Rawla Jojawar. Circumscribed by the old fold mountains of Aravalli ranges, this tiny garrison fort was once a major principality of the Royal house of Marwar. Enjoy the countryside, take a leisurely walk into the serpentine streets of the village, interact with local communities.
Relish some of the famous Rajasthani delicacies, served with tales of bygone eras and get transported back in time.

Jojawar - Udaipur

After breakfast, proceed on your tour to "The Lake City of India"- Udaipur which is a cool oasis in the dry heart of Rajasthan. Surrounded by the hills of Aravalli, the city was set up in 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh II as the nascent capital of the Mewar Kingdom. “The Venice of the East” is referred to be “the most romantic spot on the continent of India".

Today begin your guided sightseeing of Udaipur. Visit City Palace - the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. The huge city palace towering over Lake Pichola decked with antiquities and paintings, silver and inlay work, intricate mirror work. The Palace is a conglomeration of buildings built by successive rulers and manages to retain the uniformity of the design and offers a very fine view of the lake and the city from the upper terraces. Then, visit Jagdish Temple, a 16th-century temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Stroll through the Saheliyon-ki-Bari or ‘Garden of maids”, full of marble art, canopies and fountains.

Udaipur - Pushkar

Today after breakfast, continue the journey for Pushkar, a small sacred town in the Ajmer district that welcomes pilgrims who come to pay their respects. The town is settled by the sacred lake at the heart of the town, reputed to have been formed by a lotus thrown by the god Brahma. Puskar is famous for the camel fair that takes place every year during Kartik month, the eighth lunar month in the Hindu calendar. Every year thousands of camels and local cattle traders and tourists join the Pushkar Camel Fair, where beautifully decked up camels are the highlight of the fair. Camel parades, camel beauty pageants, camel dance shows and the auction of the camels are integral components of the Fair and its main attraction.

Today after breakfast, join the Pushkar camel fair which is the India’s greatest tribal gathering where one can witness a number of funky competitions like 'Matka Tod', 'Longest Moustache’ etc. Spot  Bhopa musicians playing Ravanhatha in the fair, around the lake or the desert and Kalbelia ladies performing dance in the dunes. A good mix of ethnic and hippie culture reflects in the Pushkar market, walk through the labyrinth of alleys and lanes, its bazaars and the ghats to discover the magic of this tranquil town.
Brahma is believed to be the creator of the universe in Hindu mythology, in the evening catch sight of people taking a holy dip in the lake. Join the maha aarti ceremony by the lake.

Today after breakfast, Embark on the journey to the capital of the royal state Rajasthan “The Pink City” of India. Jaipur lies on the edge of the Thar Desert, surrounded by the Aravali hills. The Pink Paradise is an evocative showcase of regal Rajasthani architecture and is home to many UNESCO Heritage Sites was founded in 1727 by Sawai Jai Singh II. Explore the remarkably well-preserved heritage,  hilltop forts, bustling old bazaars, and lovely palaces.

Today enjoy a full day city exploring tour, beginning with Amber Fort (Amer Fort), a rugged defensive structure on the outside which is in stark contrast to its ornate and lavish interior, magnificent courtyards,  as befitting the Maharaja’s and their families who lived there. The next site would be - Hawa Mahal, (The palace of winds). Moving ahead to the City Palace, a blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture explore its magnificent palaces, courtyards and audience halls.  Visit another 18th century World site  - Jantar Mantar, an observatory that can measure time, track celestial bodies.

“There are no words to describe how happy my heart is!”
Visiting the Pushkar cattle festival was an incredible experience!
I loved everything about my visit to Pushkar. The host covered everything that was mentioned in the itinerary with a smooth and family like experience and with the best budget and quotation he provided. He arranged the best cars for us and everything was on time....so transportation was quite easy and comfortable....He himself accompanied us to for local visit and it was a compliment for us..

What a wonderful experience all around tot the rose garden of Rajasthan , Pushkar. This has been exceptional – physically, spiritually, emotionally – offering all that makes India and its people special.
The team of Indian Experience were absolutely wonderful to be with. They took care of our every need. The facilities and food were amazing.
